The City of Diboll was looking to repair streets within the subdivision of Deer Trace, the housing area which sits adjacent to Neches Pines Golf Course and Diboll High School in the northeast part of the city.
Namely, the City wanted to repair Dogwood Ridge, the street at the subdivision’s main entrance. The street was originally constructed with a flexible pavement design consisting of stabilized subgrade, base material, and a hot mix asphalt concrete surface course. Over time the street fell into a state of disrepair with alligator cracking and numerous potholes.
KSA Engineers, Inc. was hired to provide engineering for the project. The firm completed a reconstruction design that removed the existing asphaltic surface course, restabilized the existing subgrade, and placed concrete pavement as a driving surface.
