The City of Mineola was looking to upgrade its water tank because the existing 300,000 gallon tank had outlived its useful service life and was in poor structural condition. KSA Engineers, Inc. (Wisenbaker, Fix & Associates) was hired to perform the project because the firm has a longstanding relationship and deep understanding of the City’s water/wastewater infrastructure (KSA has provided the bulk of the City’s engineering services since 1949).
The project included preliminary, design and construction phase services for the welded steel tank including piping, site work, tank construction and painting, and electrical controls. This project also included the demolition of an existing 300,000 gallon elevated tank.
After preliminary site investigations were used to determine the foundation needs for the storage tank, KSA performed field surveys for design of the project components. During the course of the project, KSA engineers and staff provided design and bid phase documents, topographic, surveying, construction staking, inspections, and construction administration. |
