KSA Engineers, Inc. was hired by the City of Groesbeck to develop Plans and Specifications to allow construction of improvements to
the existing City Damn located on the Navasota River (also known as Lake Groesbeck Dam).
The improvements are identified as “Option 1: Major Repair Project” which generally consists of: 1) spillway improvements, 2) removal
of concrete and replacement with new erosion control on east and west downstream banks, and 3) gravel access drive to east side of
dam along lot owned by the City. Funding sources anticipated for this project includes NRCS (National Resource Conservation
Service) and TDRA (Texas Department of Rural Affairs).
Construction contract documents shall include special bidding and contract forms required by these agencies. Plans and
specifications were reviewed by NRCS, TDRA, and TCEQ Dam Safety.
