KSA Engineers, Inc. was hired by the City of Tyler to design and install a passenger boarding bridge for the Tyler Pounds Regional
Airport.
Passenger boarding bridges provide all-weather dry access to aircraft and enhance the security of terminal operations. This bridge
would extend from the airport terminal gate to an airplane or jet, allowing passengers to board and disembark without having to go
outside. Tyler Pounds wanted that added convenience for its travelers, and KSA was responsible for making it happen.
KSA served as the prime consultant and worked with Reynolds, Smith & Hills, who served as the subconsultant on the project.
KSA coordinated the site visits, put plans and specifications together, performed construction inspection and was responsible for
general construction administration.
