KSA Engineers, Inc. is proud to announce the addition of Environmental Planning to our expanding list of services. Environmental Planning is designed to ensure our clients' projects are completed in compliance with environmental regulations.
The new service will be provided under the direction of Molly Waller, who recently joined the KSA staff. Ms. Waller has worked as an environmental planner for more than 13 years with over 11 years of experience planning development and operation of commercial service and general aviation airports across the United States. She is also experienced with site selection for a myriad of project types ranging from airports to pipelines and power plants.
Ms. Waller said her job includes ensuring potential environmental impacts are identified in the early stages of a proposed construction project.
"By identifying resources or environmental opportunities early in the project formulation process you are able to select or modify the project to withstand environmental permitting processes," she said. "Protecting the environment has become increasingly important to the public, special interest groups, and governmental agencies. Involving an environmental planner in the early stages of the project not only allows the project to take advantage of incentives for things such as sustainable design, but also ensures the project will move through the permitting and environmental clearance processes expeditiously."
Raised in northern Nebraska, Waller graduated from the University of Nebraska in Lincoln with a bachelor's of business administration and a master's in community and regional planning. She now works remotely through our McKinney office and said she is excited about the opportunity to bring her expertise to KSA's clients.
"I have worked with KSA staff in the past and have always been impressed with their work product, approaches to projects, and overall manner in which they serve clients," Waller said. "The energy and team atmosphere at KSA is what attracted me to the firm and helped me make the decision to come onboard."
Waller is available to assist with all required environmental documentation ranging from permit applications to the preparation of environmental assessments.
